Constants & physical tests

From a model quantity to a calibrated physical prediction.

Keep the levels distinct

A combinatorial count, a normalized model response, and a measured physical constant are different objects. A derivation must state the connection between them, including any normalization, physical scale, and independently fixed inputs.

What the constants programme asks

The programme explores whether the structure of a single-source description can constrain quantities associated with coupling, action, gravity, and matter. The Constants Explorer on SMONAD exposes model dependencies and the assumptions used in proposed connections.

What would make a test informative?

An informative prediction specifies the measured observable and the regime of comparison, identifies parameters fixed independently of the target value, and states a result that could distinguish the model from alternatives. Agreement obtained by selecting an input to reproduce the target is not an independent prediction.

Use the full workbench

The UAEU site links to the explorer rather than duplicating its calculations. Read the source ledger and scale definitions alongside each example. The hydrogen pages supply further worked context for separating a standard quantum-mechanical relation from a proposed explanation of its parameters.
