Consultancy work

Dr. Al-Qirim is the chair of the college's Industry Outreach group. This vital role entails establishing links with the industry and creates business opportunities in the area of IT consultancy, training and research and development. Some of the the executed projects:

  1. Investigating IT educational requirements of 3000 end-users at Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA). I also participated in developing the scoping study where a survey questionnaire was developed and distributed to different users in ADWEA. Several meetings (focus groups) in Abu-Dhabi and Al-Ain where implemented with selected members from ADWEA in order to gain their training needs and requirements. I analyzed the gathered data from ADWEA and presented that to the dean and selected faculty members and to UGRU people. I also developed the short course-proposals for eBusiness and Corporate Business. 

  2. Investigating IT educational requirements for Abu Dhabi Police where I developed and delivered the short course-proposals for the Online Information Systems and Knowledge Management. 

  3. Investigating IT educational requirements for the General Information Authority (Abu Dhabi) where I developed a detailed training requirements for eGovernment Employees to the General Information Authority (GIA)
