Concept 2: Features of Prokaryotic Cells

Prokaryotes, which include all bacteria and archaea (archaebacteria), are the simplest cellular organisms.

Prokaryotic cells are fundamentally different in their internal organization from eukaryotic cells. Notably, prokaryotic cells lack a nucleus and membranous organelles.s
