Investigator in collaboration with the Mechanical Engineering Department-UAEU, of the research entitled:"Using of Adhesively Bonded Hollow Steel Members to Reinforce Steel Plates ". This research is funded by the UAEU research affairs. The aim of the investigation is to find out the efficiency of hybrid bonded steel section, basically steel plate reinforced by using adhesively bonded hollow square steel sections for strengthening or rehabilitation of marine applications. Moreover, nowadays as an extension to the above project we are investigation the efficiency of adhesively bonded sandwich panels with respect to riveted joints for the structural applications. |
