Software needed to run the site

There are 3 main programs or parts of programs called plug-ins, that you need to run this site completely.These programs should open automatically when the video starts. If they don't, then maybe the program is not "plugged-in" to your web browser. If in doubt - got get it, for FREE!

1. Quicktime Player - is a video program used widely for playing sound and video, especially via the internet. You cannot play the Quicktime videos if you don't have this. Check your PC > Start > Programs, and if you can't see it, you will have to go and get it from Apple's webiste at http:www.apple.com/Quicktime/download/

   With a 56k modem, which most people have for the internet, Quicktime will take maybe 10-20 minutes to download it onto your computer. It's free and should start to install itself. Follow the instructions.

2. Windows Media Player - is a similar video and music playing program. It is normally already on PC computers, so check PC > Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment, and if you see it there then you have it. If you don't have it, go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/mediaplayer/

   Again, it should take bout 10-20 minutes to download on a regular modem and internet connection. And again, its free and you can follow the instructions from the Microsoft Website.

3. Flash Player - this is made by Macromedia and is often used for making animation and web graphics. We have used it for some of our graphics and some of our tutorials. Free and much quicker to download, as Flash Player is a smaller download than the above two. http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/flashplayer

   A lot of modern web browsers have Flash Player already "plugged in"

4. PowerPoint - the common office application costs dosh, as part of Microsoft Office. It is used for presentations and slideshows, and we have used it for short tutorials. Get it from your local dealership or computer shops
